[00:00:00] Crystal Waddell: Welcome to what I hope is the first of many episodes of what I want to call. Follow through Friday's here on the simple and smart SEO show podcast. It's like a new version of SEO shorts. 

[00:00:13] But in case we haven't met I'm crystal, I'm your host. And today I'd like to share with you this new format of something. 

[00:00:20] I learned something I implemented and something that inspired me this week. 

[00:00:26] So first let's dive into something that I learned. 

[00:00:30] And big shout out to Matt Diamante for this gold nugget. 

[00:00:34] He was talking on his Instagram about how you can go into Google search console and check what keywords a specific page is ranking for. 

[00:00:42] So I applied this knowledge to one of my most important pages for my senior night gift store collage and wood.com. And. The page that I wanted to take a look at was the collections page. Come to find out. I wasn't ranking for the keywords that I wanted to. 

[00:01:01] Like senior sports gifts. So I had optimized for senior gifts. 

[00:01:08] But I had overlooked the fact that there's more than one type of senior and I had seen some, Key word matches or, keyword showing up on my report that we're like senior gifts and it almost seemed like it was senior citizens. 

[00:01:22] But I just laughed it off and, oh, that's funny. But then what I realized was that, oh, if I put that sports in there. 

[00:01:29] That's going to really drive the point home. 

[00:01:32] So I'm super excited about that. I took action and updated that collections page. 

[00:01:39] With a whole bunch of relevant keywords that were more targeted towards actual sports. 

[00:01:43] I'll keep checking on those optimizations and I'll update you on how we're doing. Okay. So that brings me to the something. That inspired me part of the program. So if you listen to the podcast earlier this week that I did with Andrew Holland. 

[00:02:03] We discussed that a lot of traffic that doesn't convert isn't any better than no traffic at all. Okay. So it got me thinking about my analytics and how we're ranking for a lot of top of funnel, how to keywords. 

[00:02:18] Keywords that are related to high school, senior sports night. 

[00:02:21] Or college senior day. Inspired by this. I created a senior night planning guide. And so what this is going to be is a paid. E-book. Kinda like a paid lead magnet that I'm going to offer as an opt-in on my lowest converting pages. 

[00:02:38] So it's going to be priced at about $7. I think I'm gonna land on $7 and it's the first digital product in my senior store. 

[00:02:47] And for those of you who don't know, I make. Photo collages. And I make physical numbers, physical letters. Giant photo collages of athletes who have played a sport their whole life. 

[00:03:00] And so on senior night. What that typically is a parent or coach, or someone will give that child a special gift. And I make numbers that. I cover with pictures from that kid's career. 

[00:03:13] That's why I'm always talking about senior night. 

[00:03:15] And sometimes I do posters, but that at the end of the day is like giving someone's memories back to them, as an athlete. Really fun. 

[00:03:22] Really cool. So anyway. 

[00:03:24] Typically I focus on physical products for collageandwood.com. 

[00:03:28] This is the first digital product, so I'm super excited. Those are the three things that I wanted to share with you. Something that I learned, something that I implemented and something that inspired me.
